Thanks dhammet. The books that led me to "Mind?" Well, the problem was there wasn't a book, really. I couldn't believe there wasn't, but I couldn't really find one.

The book that really blew me away....sheesh, it's been a while. Bowles "The Sheltering Sky," maybe....wherein a character is going to write a book demonstrating that the difference between something and nothing is nothing. Maybe my favorite line of all time.

Sam,
I have to say that I blindly grabbed your book Fighters Mind as I was boarding a plane..and could not put it down, which led me to a Fighters Heart. Although I am new to MMA, and when I read it I would have compared myself to the principal in "Warrior". Fighters Mind was not only insight for MMA, but it is fantastic insight on drive, determination, and mindset for a person to mentally succeed. My question is what books led you to fighters mind? Or maybe a book that really changed your view or blew you away. Thanks, and can't wait for the next book.

Thanks Dylan...it is great to see how far Andre has come. I am still friends with Virgil and Dre, although we don't talk much. I love Dre as a fighter, he really can do anything in a very old-school way.

Hey Sam!

I read your book *A fighters Heart* a few months ago and i would just like to say thanks for writing about your fantastic adventure.

I had never watched any of Andre Wards fights and recently saw that Andre Ward is fighting Froch in the Super Six finals!

It was great for me too see the characters you written about and how far they have come since then including the MMA guys. I was wondering do you still keep in touch with Andre and Virgil.

I'm from the UK myself but after reading your book and what Inspiring people Andre and Virgil sound like i will be routing for Ward!

Thanks again Sam and all the best!

Hey Tim, sounds great...living the dream! Nice one! I am stupidly busy but will check it out, if I don't remind me! Good luck, man, stay safe, tap early and often in practice....

Hey Sam, first I want to say I'm a big fan of your writing and lifestyle. I had traveled a lot in the military, but was kind of stuck in the corporate rut/cubicle hell. I loved training but never had enough time to do it because of work, and hated the work I was doing. I read both "The Fighter's Mind" and "The Fighter's Heart" and I have to say they were very inspiring.

At the end of last year I decided I would no longer do a job I disliked and went after a career in my two main interests in life, fighting and writing. I created a blog and set off to Brazil to find myself and adventure. I'm now on my second trip to Brazil in which I sold all my stuff and completely moved here, and have even picked up a contributor role for a MMA website.

I know you're probably a pretty busy guy, but as an author I respect I would love to hear your thoughts on my writing sometime. If you get a chance, check out www.lifeisthefight.com (if you need to edit out my site I understand, not trying to spam you!) I haven't put up much from this trip yet, but all of my last trip to Rio is there and background on me. I hope one day I can get some feedback from you, and really look forward to reading your next work!
