The books that led me to "Mind?" Well, the problem was there wasn't a book, really. I couldn't believe there wasn't, but I couldn't really find one. The book that really blew me away....sheesh, it's been a while. Bowles "The Sheltering Sky," maybe....wherein a character is going to write a book demonstrating that the difference between something and nothing is nothing. Maybe my favorite line of all time. Although I am new to MMA, and when I read it I would have compared myself to the principal in "Warrior". Fighters Mind was not only insight for MMA, but it is fantastic insight on drive, determination, and mindset for a person to mentally succeed. My question is what books led you to fighters mind? I had traveled a lot in the military, but was kind of stuck in the corporate rut/cubicle hell. I loved training but never had enough time to do it because of work, and hated the work I was doing. I read both "The Fighter's Mind" and "The Fighter's Heart" and I have to say they were very inspiring. At the end of last year I decided I would no longer do a job I disliked and went after a career in my two main interests in life, fighting and writing. I created a blog and set off to Brazil to find myself and adventure. I'm now on my second trip to Brazil in which I sold all my stuff and completely moved here, and have even picked up a contributor role for a MMA website.
